Eight people, a lot of gear or any combination of the two can fit comfortably inside the 2012 Pilot. Sixteen different configurations are possible thanks to the 60/40 split-folding second- and third-row seats, and third-row access is quick and easy. Plentiful Power

Every Pilot is powered by a 3.5-liter i-VTEC® V-6 engine, which delivers an impressive 250 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque. Honda's innovative Variable Cylinder Management™ (VCM®) helps to increase mileage and lower emissions by automatically deactivating and reactivating multiple cylinders, depending on the driver's needs. 4-wheel independent suspension features a MacPherson front strut/multi-link rear design for a smooth ride and excellent handling. The Variable Torque Management® 4-wheel drive system (VTM-4®) automatically transfers power to the rear wheels when the system detects loss of front-wheel drive traction.

Every Pilot features the latest generation of Honda's Variable Cylinder Management™ (VCM®), which is designed to help improve fuel economy without sacrificing power. The system achieves this by automatically deactivating and reactivating multiple cylinders, depending on the engine's needs. It also helps the Pilot achieve its Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (ULEV-2) rating.

Honda Safety

An array of standard safety features is ready to protect you and your passengers in every Pilot. These include Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with traction control, which helps sense oversteer and understeer conditions, then brakes individual wheels and/or reduces throttle input to help restore your intended path of travel. Additionally, the Pilot is equipped with LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) in all three second-row seating positions and in the right-side third-row seat. While sharing the road with many other drivers, sometimes a collision just cannot be avoided. So standard safety features in the Pilot can help provide a robust defense. Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure helps absorb and disperse crash energy over a large area in a frontal impact. ACE also makes the Pilot more crash compatible in frontal impacts with vehicles of differing ride heights. Additionally, front, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor all help to protect you and your passengers.
