The upcoming Honda CR-V has been introduced in photo form online by Honda. The car will be available next year at Castle Honda in greater Chicago, Illinois.
Under the hood, details are limited. Expect a 2.0 Liter four-cylinder engine similar in last year's version, capable of producing 148 bhp. Improved fuel efficiency has also been promised.
In fact, design and fuel economy go hand-and-hand with CR-V. The new model is going to be based on a fresh platform, with wraparound lower front bumper integrated into the front fascia, as well as more pronounced side sills. A three-bar horizontal front grille is more dominant on the new CR-V, along with slimmed-down headlights on each side. CR-V's rear keeps its vertical light design. Honda claims these design changes will result in improved aerodynamics.
Inside, "The Japanese firm is also claiming an all-new, more spacious interior with a lower floor for improved load-carrying ability," according to a report by AutoCar.1
